Fertility food for men




Food and nutrition affects sperm quality in men. Sperm quality governs how well they swim and how readily they are able to fertilize an egg. What a man eats today will determine his sperm his sperm quality and quantity in 90 days. Therefore he has to eat healthy diet for many months before trying for a baby.

Zinc is required for spermatogenesis and sperm motility. Good sources of zinc are nuts, sesame seeds, beans, whole grains, oysters and lean meat. Antioxidants should be had to protect the sperms that are formed. This should include vitamin C, E and selenium found in fruits and vegetables and whole grains. Combined Zinc and folate supplements can be taken under medical supervision to increase the sperm count in men.

Hence a balanced diet with all the nutrients is necessary for increasing the fertility of a man. Cigarettes, drugs, alcohol and excess weight should be avoided.
